Spent a few hours today researching and creating this infographic that summarises some social media statistics of Singapore.  You can click on the image to get a 1024x768 version of it. Facebook - New Update Options

In my last post , I showed a screenshot of how the new Facebook "Timeline" has changed the way you can show off your own "story" to your friends and how you can view the "stories" of your friends as well. Besides the revamped interface, Facebook has also introduced new ways you can reflect lifestage changes in your Timeline, besides adding status updates and photos which were already present in the older versions of the Facebook Profile. If you see the screenshot right below this paragraph (Figure 1), you can see that beside the familiar Status Updates and Photo icons, there are several new icons beside them. Facebook rolls out new Timeline feature!

Click on this picture to see the bigger version to see the new features on the Timeline Yesterday, Facebook announced several new features at their f8 developer conference. One of the most talked about features that is all abuzz on various websites one day after the event, is the new Timeline which replaces your Profile page. You can see it in action here: https://www.facebook.com/about/timeline I trried out the new Timeline features just now. Wow, it takes a bit of getting used to, but I think once most people figure it out, they would like it. The feature will be rolled out in a weeks' time on 30 Sep 2011, but if you can't wait (like me) and want to try it out, you can do this by following the instructions here. Try it!
